Network Intern

Join our Network Engineering team as a Network Intern and gain practical experience in enterprise networking environments. You will work alongside experienced engineers, assist with daily network operations, participate in troubleshooting activities, and learn industry best practices. This internship is an excellent opportunity to build hands-on technical skills while contributing to the stability and performance of the organization’s network infrastructure.

Understanding of the OSI/TCP-IP model and core protocols (IP, TCP/UDP, DNS, DHCP, ARP)

Basic IPv4 subnetting and addressing

Familiarity with switching and routing concepts (VLANs, static routing, basic OSPF/BGP/EIGRP awareness)

Lab experience (Packet Tracer, GNS3, EVE-NG)

CCNA certificate (if available)

Monitor network dashboards and alerts, escalating issues to senior engineers

Assist with first-level troubleshooting of connectivity issues (ping, traceroute, basic packet capture)

Help keep the asset/inventory list current

Assist with basic device configuration under supervision (VLANs, access ports, static routes)

Update and maintain network documentation (diagrams, IP address records, cable maps)

Support physical tasks: cabling, patching, labeling, rack work
