Backend Developer (Node.js)

You will own the Node.js back end behind our customer-facing web products - the services, APIs, and headless-CMS layer that power multilingual, high-traffic marketing sites - and stay hands-on across the Next.js/React front end when needed. This is a Mid+ / Senior role: you take features end to end, make architectural calls in your area, and are accountable for the quality, performance, and reliability of what reaches production.

Quality & delivery: GitLab CI/CD, SonarQube, Playwright, Docker, Kubernetes

Design & content: Figma handoff, multilingual (i18n) content, Core Web Vitals

Must-have

Strong Node.js and TypeScript - production experience building and owning APIs and services.

Solid Next.js back-end capabilities: SSR/SSG/ISR, App Router, server-side data fetching, caching.

Experience integrating a headless CMS or comparable data source; content modeling and API contracts.

Comfortable across the stack - able to work in React and turn Figma designs into responsive UI when needed.

Fluent with Git / merge-request workflows, code review, and CI/CD.

A clear focus on performance, reliability, and maintainability.

Nice-to-have

Hands-on Strapi (or another headless CMS).

Playwright E2E and working with a quality gate like SonarQube.

Docker / Kubernetes deployments and basic observability.

Multilingual / localized web builds (i18n).

Design-system / component-library work.

• Design, build, and own Node.js services and APIs - data layer, integrations, auth, media handling, caching, and performance.
• Model and extend the Strapi (headless CMS) layer: content types, multilingual content (AZ/RU/EN / i18n), revalidation, and the contract between CMS and front end.
• Build server-side rendering and data flows in Next.js (App Router) - SSR/ISR, proxy/API routes, image optimization, HTTP and CDN caching.
• Own performance and resilience: caching strategy, immutable/versioned assets, Core Web Vitals, observability.
• Contribute to the React/TypeScript front end and pixel-perfect Figma handoff when the work calls for it - this stays a full-stack role.
• Write and maintain automated tests (unit + Playwright E2E) and keep code green through the SonarQube quality gate.
• Ship through GitLab CI/CD - merge requests, code review, environment promotion, deploy to Kubernetes.
• Set technical direction with product, design, QA, and DevOps within the PDLC/SDLC process.
