Senior Chapter Lead - Development

We're looking for a senior engineering leader to own the craft, people, and delivery quality of our Development discipline - Backend, Web, and Mobile - across multiple product teams.

This is a leader-of-leaders role (~90% leadership / ~10% hands-on): you lead Chapter Leads, own our internal developer platform (built on Backstage), and act as the final technical authority for the discipline.

• 7-9+ years in software development, including 4-5+ years leading engineers.
• Proven product-team experience with direct delivery accountability - a must.
• Deep mastery of at least one core stack (Java preferred) with credible breadth across others.
• A track record of developing people and scaling practices across multiple teams.
• Working proficiency in English.

• Lead and grow Development Chapter Leads across Backend, Web, and Mobile.
• Own hiring and performance evaluation for the development chapters and the platform team.
• Set and scale engineering standards: architecture, code quality, review practices, quality gates.
• Own the direction and adoption of our internal developer platform - golden paths, templates, self-service.
• Partner with Tribe Leads on release predictability, technical risk, and delivery quality.
• Help lead our engineering guilds - cross-team communities where practices are aligned.
